disney cruise, few easy questions to the ppl who have been?

Me, my husband, and our 2 year old daughter are planning to go on a Disney Cruise!! I know our daughter is still young, and she prob. want understand it, but we are really just wanting to do something fun and exciting that we have never done before. This will be our first time ever going on a cruise. We know it’s going to be way over $1000, but we have been saving all year for a nice family vacation. But I have some questions first. I went to the disney website, but it got really confussing, so I’ll just ask questions on here to the people who know that has been on a disney cruise. First question, my husband is a big guy, and he loves to eat, and along with my 2 year old she loves to munch all day, and then eat a nice size dinner at night, Will food be included, how much can you eat in one day? We want to cruise to bahamas, so when the ship finally gets to the bahamas, can we get off the ship? How long? Can we get back on any time we want? Any other information would be greatly appreciated also! Thanks

Eat all you want anytime you want! 24 hour room service too. You will typically be in port for 8 to 12 hours. I would avoid shore excursions as they can be pricey and just enjoy the floating resort you are on. You can off and back on anytime the ship is in port.
Go to vacationstogo.com and cruisedeals.com and search for cruises and fares. They will be higher when school is out and spring break so try to go other times.
Cruises are all-inclusive except for drinks (expensive) and shore excursions. Tips are automatic and $10 per day per person and that is fair. You will love it!

We are going on a Disney Cruise this spring with our 2-yr old. We have also gone kid-less and when our little guy was 9 mo. old. You will have a BLAST!! There are so many things for you and your daughter to do and see! One thing I would make sure to check on is the daycare. If your child is 3 or above, there are kids clubs with activities for them to do. Those are all included in the cruise price. However, they do have a daycare for 2 yrs and under but it does book quickly. They were fantastic with our boy! Lots of play time WITH him, little activites for him to do, cribs to nap in, and they will feed him if needed. It does cost extra. We planned some time just the two of us and put him in daycare. That was really great to be able to enjoy each other and some of the adults-only places and activites they have on ship. You can also book the day care on their web site. You will not run out of things to do! (or things to eat!) I just saw a persons website yesterday where they have gone on 65 disney cruises and still love it! If you want to take a sneak peek at some of the daily newsletters that are delivered to your stateroom, check out this persons site: http://www.disneycruiser.info. HAVE FUN!!! (p.s. About the cost of drinks… they do have a soda pop station on top deck that is open 24/7. All the free soda you can drink. If you want a more adult drink, that will cost you! And you can get chcoclate dipped micky ice cream pops 24/7! Even delivered room service if you like!)
