Are Disney cruises fun?! I need to know so I can start planning!?

Please let me know about your Disney Cruise experience. I’ve never been on a cruise but my family and I are planning to do a Disney one within the next year. Please tell me pro’s and con’s of a disney cruise. Also what do you have to tell me on how for in advance to book it for a very nice room. I can’t do it in Europe but do YOU prefer the Caribbean or Bahama’s? Should I make it half the time on sea and half on land or all on sea. I’m leaning towards all on sea. Thanks for helping me and I’m very excited! Like I said, I’ve never been on a cruise before do I’m really looking forward to this. I chose Disney because I’m watching a special on disney cruises right now!

Thanks again and I appreciate all answers–unless spam or not helping!

Have a very nice day!

Disney is GREAT!!! I took my son in Jan of ‘06. We were at Disney world for 4 days and the cruise ship for 3 days (Bahamas). We went in January because the weather was in the 80’s all week and there wasn’t many people there(didn’t have to wait for rides). I booked everything 1 year in advance and paid in full within 3 months. Because of quick payment i was upgraded at no extra expense to me. The Cruise was awesome, there is tons of stuff for kids and adults. If the adults need some time alone Disney offers a "Club" for the kids. You will receive a pager and the kids can page you anytime they want. This club is very safe and fun for the kids. I would definitely recommend the cruise. The only CON…. the weather was too bad for us to dock on Disney’s private island. But, we went back out to sea away from the storm and they had a big party for the kids on the top deck.

YES. The fun starts the second you get aboard. The stars are sometimes on and you can get autographs, great food, fun stops, fun people, amazing shows, always things to do, adult sections with bars, and kids sections with dance clubs and stuff.

Well………… to be perfectly honest….. I hated it! I was sitting in a restaurant one time and Mickey ran upfrombehind me and tried to hug me. Instead he pushed meout of my seat and the guys in costumes always pester you. I didnt like it,but i think when i went I was too old for it all, Depends what age you are and by the way,I love acting too! XD
