how are the disney cruises?

i go to WDW every year but i’m thinking of taking a break from it and trying a disney cruise. i want to to the 7 day cruise which takes you to disney’s private island.

i am 19 years old but love disney still and love doing things like meeting characters. but from what i read about the cruises, it looks like they really try to separate the kids from the adults. i feel like in disney world you can meet characters and do fun things meant for kids… but on the cruise it looks like the real "disney" stuff is set aside for kids…and the adults are more adult things like spas, and adult pools ect. the whole reason i want to go on a disney cruise is because i want to try something new but i still need it to be completely disney…

so how is it?

If you love Disney so much you are going to love the disney cruise Line.

I will tell you the truth, it is completely focused on families. This cruise doesn’t have any casino, but they do offer Entertainment for adults. But by 11pm there is not much to do. Anyways to take advantage of the activities you need to wake up early.

What you call the Disney stuff is not just for kids, its for everyone!!! They do have some activities just for kids or just for adults. For example, one of the pool is just for adults, at Castaway Cay there is an adult only beach (but all the fun is on the other side).

Don’t miss the shows! Everyday they will give you a schedule with all the activities going around so you can plan and decide which ones you want to do. You have the character meet and great, from sailor suits, to pirates, and formal night, all the princesses and even Jack Sparrow! Tours of the boat, kitchens, etc. Make sure to take a pirate costume for the Pirates party they have, very fun to dress up, watch the show on deck and end the night with fireworks!!!

Disney’s private island is called Castaway Cay, it is just so wonderful. The day I arrived we had breakfast on the deck with the view of the island, very pretty and with the ship from the Pirates movie just completes the amazing view. There are so many activities to do on the island, a bit expensive though. But I recommend getting your snorkel gear to explore. Make sure you take an underwater camera, you will get great pictures!

When my cruise was over I said to myself "wow, Disney will never stop to impress me".

You will love it, definitely go on it, you won’t regret it!!!!
